Okay so I bought this for myself as a birthday gift just because it looked so nice. And it is!! The musical is cute, and the lights are so pretty inside.The remote control is very independent meaning it will do anything except what you want it to do. Some numbers don’t work, and it seems like certain commands are mixed up. Even the off button has stubborn moments. The good thing is the button on the side of the music box will do all those things on the remote. It just won’t set a timer for the lights to turn off on itself as the remote is supposed to do that.This was the perfect gift for my fiancé for our 1 year anniversaryPro: Beautiful rose, fantastic novelty gift for Beauty and the Beast fans. My lady loved it.Con: The music isn't from Beauty and the Beast at all. Perhaps this is due to licensing issue? Or worst case: simple ignorance. Also, the rotating stand is what the rose balances on, not the black pedestal. This would be much more stable had the winding mechanism been at least flush with the bottom stand, rather than protruding out from underneath it.It's a beautiful item, but the charger is extremely loose & the lights work sometimes & sometimes they don't.... just like the remote control. Very disappointed. Returned it & asked for a replacement.UPDATE: Received the replacement..... & the music box on the replacement doesn't work!! I was infuriated!! This was supposed to be a gift for my mom for Mother's Day, which is in 2 days, so now I have no gift for my mom!! We lost my brother & it's supposed to play You Are My Sunshine, which is what she used to sing for him. So very upset! Then after I requested to return it, they said I'd have to wait WEEKS until they receive the SECOND defective one to get my refund. However, I reached out to Customer Service & she was extremely nice & understanding. They are now issuing me a refund within 2 business days & I don't have to return the SECOND defective one. That's why I updated it from 2 to 3 stars. I would've given them 4 stars if I could've gotten my refund sooner, so my mom's gift won't be a week or more late. So I'm just going to give my mom this one on Mother's Day, because it still lights up like it's supposed to & explain to her that she'll be getting another one with the music box (hopefully the THIRD one will work properly) as soon as possible. I'm not going to tell her what song it plays, though, so there will at least be some element of surprise to it. I'll be back to update how the third one is.Good productDon't understand what the song is but nothing they said it was and takes forever to charge and doesn't last long but still beautifulUPDATE******************Seller reached out to me and explained it was likely an Amazon error sending me a return. They offered to send me another one for free which was great since the first one had already been gifted and now I could give her another one without scratches to make up for it.The item itself is great for the price, compared to the other similar options. The music in conjunction with a remote for the lights, and the fact it rotates is why I chose this one from the many similar sellers. No complaints with the item this time around. Really though, the 5 star review is for the quick customer support and offering to send me a free replacement even though I did not ask for one.*******************************I'm pretty sure I received an opened return item. The box came without the black ribbon around it as pictured. That was the first bad sign. Did not come with the git note I requested either. Bad sign number 2. Lastly and worst of all, is that the box made a rattling noise which I discovered was due to the metal knob that is used to wind it up, being loose inside the box hitting the glass and base, slightly scratching it up. Clearly from whoever repackaged it just dumping it into the box.I wish I didn't buy it last minute as I would have returned it in a heartbeat but I needed it as a gift and didn't pick up the package until the day of. It was either gift an obvious item or arrive empty handed for a child's birthday... Embarrassing to say the least. I honestly expect a call soon at this rate to say the item broke or stopped working.Vale la pena
